Building a Career as a One Health Professional

As a graduate of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University with a Master of Science in Conservation Medicine, I have gained a diverse range of skills and experience in the field of conservation. My undergraduate studies in ecology and sociology at the University of Michigan have shaped my conviction that addressing the upstream, root causes of ecological problems, such as habitat fragmentation or pollution, is key to effectively reducing the severity of their effects. I believe that effective science education is a critical aspect of this endeavor.

I am committed to advancing the One Health paradigm, which recognizes the interdependence of human, animal, and environmental health.  My education and work history has provided me with substantial hands-on experience with wild animal care and conservation, as well as a familiarity with the world of research. In my career, I aim to work towards mitigating harmful anthropogenic impacts and promoting a holistic approach to global health.
